Meaning and origin of the Amerikanisch Samoa-Flag:

The flag was introduced in 1960, and shows ? in a dynamic arrangement ? the colors blue, white and red, so the colors of the USA. The flag cloth is blue, with a white triangle, which its base has on the flying end of the flag, and it reaches out to the leech. It is bordered on two sides with a red border.

A brown-white, invasive, American white head eagle holds in his claws a baton and a war bludgeon, and flies in the direction of the flagpole. Baton and cudgel on are traditional Samoan symbols of authority.
